We stopped by Cat Depot today to donate some cat food and decided to visit the adoption center while we were there. We were impressed from the moment we walked in. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and Kristin patiently answered every question we had and clearly knew the cats and the adoption process very well. The adoption center itself is modern, spacious, clean, and inviting. The cats have comfortable, thoughtfully designed spaces with plenty of room, enrichment, climbing structures, and places to relax. The cats we saw appeared healthy, comfortable, and at ease in their surroundings. We also enjoyed browsing the Cat Depot store. It is bright, attractive, well stocked, and carries a good selection of cat food, supplies, toys, beds, carriers, and other accessories at very reasonable prices. Even though we came primarily to make a donation, the visit turned into a really positive experience. Cat Depot clearly puts a great deal of care into both the cats and the people who come to meet them. An excellent Sarasota resource for anyone who loves cats.

When my cat had a blockage I came there to seek help due to financial issues. They did everything they could, even surgery but they found that it was a cancer tumor causing the blockage. We had to go through with euthanasia. From the time that we got there seeking help to the end where we had to say goodbye… cat depot staff were kind and caring and kept us updated throughout the whole process

One of the best choices I ever made in my life was finding Cat Depot. Five years ago, I decided to go in and see if they had any kittens available that would make a great companion for our one year-old cat at the time. Little did we know Romeo would become the glue to our whole family. Really special kittens and cats come from here and I really believe it’s their environment that shapes them. At Cat Depot you’ll find employees who care about these kittens and adult cats, and what kind of life they will have. They are very good at what they do. I still use their Clinc every year for our cats. I definitely recommend Cat Depot to anyone looking to adopt or volunteer!

The people that work there are awesome. Very caring and knowledgeable about all the furbabies. I wouldn't go anywhere else to adopt. The photos are of the 4 we have adopted since September 2025.
